Music Corner
Michel Roy is a big fan of music. At the age of thirteen I was rocking out to Pink Floyd, David Bowie and so many more….I would describe my current taste as eclectic. Even though I am still a big fan of Brit Pop Music my taste are very diverse and include all kinds of music from Jazz to World music. I thought it would be fun to open up this section to the blog to provide a little insight to my other passion, music. Someone said to me a while back that music to them was their oxygen and that resonated
with me for some time because I feel very much the same way. Let’s have fun with this section of the blog and if you are a music lover like me please feel free to add a comment or suggest a song or album. I am going to make a list of my favorite albums, what I am listening to right now, and reviews of concerts and albums within the recent months. I look forward to hearing from you.

Concert Review
Leonard is one of the rare few that can still go out on tour at the age of 74 and pack a venue. Mr. Cohen, left little room for disappointment in a show that lasted just over three hours (with an intermission) and featured more than a couple dozen songs including such great hits as “Halleluja, “Ain’t No Cure For Love, ” Bird On The Wire, “Chelsea Hotel” and “Hey that’s No Way To Say Goodbye.”. Taking the stage for the first American Concert in fifteen years, Cohen received a tremendous welcome by the sold-out-audience. At times he dropped to one knee, or both, and into his wry and ruminative songs. There were some truly magical moments during the evening. Cohen was joined my his nine-piece band, which included three female backing vocalist, just after 8 p.m. He wore a dapper suite and fedora hat looking like he stepped straight off one of his album covers, and he went into that canyon-deep baritone voice around the opener of “Dance Me to the End of Love.” The reluctant star, who disappeard from the scene in the 90s to study Buddhism high atop a montain, is a noted perfectionist when it comes to songwritting. Those who were there witnessed something very special. If you’re a Leornard Cohen fan I highly recommend picking up his new album. Mixed with poetry and an array of his most popular songs the album is truly excellent. Leonard Cophen is one of the greatest singer-songwriters in the history of popular music.
